He had to go cross-country to make it happen, but John Ferreira has an opportunity to play football in the Ivy League. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound receiver from Timberline High School in Lacey, Wash. recently traveled back to Dartmouth and Yale to take in their football camps, and he came back to the Evergreen State with some good news.

"I recently attended the Dartmouth and Yale camps and received heavy interest from Yale with an offer being given to me," Ferreira told Scout.com via email. Princeton is also another school interested in wooing Ferreira back east.

Ivy League schools don't offer tuition scholarships per se, but does allow a certain amount of scholastic flexibility for football players through the Academic Index.
