Chandler (Az.) Hamilton DT Tevin Hood gets first…
Top 10 Breakout Performers for '09
Anthony Hughes - RB Centennial- Finally gets to run the show at Centennial. After sitting behind cousin Jeff and brother John, the youngest Hughes will be the feature back behind the state's best o-line.Jake Brown - LB/FB Paradise Valley- Injured part of last year, Brown is now weighing a solid 220 and is a punishing runner and D1 talent LB.Jacob Ehm - OT Chaparral- Sat behind stud Taylor Lewan last year but has shown great athleticism this off season. At 6-6 245, his frame will allow him to be 300+ and if his early film is good, he will be a D1 lineman.Tevin Hood - DT Hamilton- Reminds me of Derrick Nsubuga from Chaparral, short, squatty and strong. Hood, the son of former Cardinal Eric Swann, will be asked to step up for Hamilton's DL that lost many starters.D.J. Hubbard - junior RB Westview- Jeremiah Cornist was the man last year for La Joya, so Hubbard didn't get to showcase his skills.Juan Baron - OT Desert Ridge- Looks the part at 6-7 280 but didn't play last year because of an injury. Coach Hathcock thinks he can me a mid-major talent.CJ Randall - DE Mesquite- Tall and rangy prospect has the tools of a D1 DE.Kyler Frackrell - QB/S Mesa- I don't know why no one is talking about this kid. Is a legit 6-4 and weighs over 200 pounds. Was an all region pick on both sides of the ball for the Jackrabbits last year.Mo Latu - junior DT Perry- Massive at 6-2 300+. Already holds an offer from CSU, where his brother plays. Will get to prove himself against the big boys as Perry will play their first full varsity schedule next year.Brett Hundley - junior QB Chandler- This all depends if Hundley even starts next year as him and all region pick Kyle Yount are battling it out for the Wolves. But his JV film is impressive and multiple sources have indicated that Hundley is a D1 talent, including Colorado, who has early offered.
