Slade Hopeful About the Future
Chad Slade profile "Arkansas State offered me back during the middle of June and then Mississippi State offered me," said Slade. "I got the letter from Mississippi State. I felt good to get that first one in. My family was real excited for me and real proud. I think they were shocked when I got the offer." A recent camping trip to Mississippi State was the first time Slade had visited the Starkville campus. He came away impressed with what he saw. "It's a great atmosphere to be in," said Chad. "I like the coaches and I thought they had nice facilities. I really like all the people there. I really liked the campus." Slade has a quartet of college camps under his belt and he is contemplating attending a few more as the summer rolls along. "I have been to Mississippi State, Alabama, Georgia and Auburn camps," said Chad. "I may go back to Mississippi State and then Ole Miss. I am not sure yet, but I am going to decide this week. Auburn is having another camp on the 18th that I am thinking about too." The potential return trip to Auburn may prove to be beneficial for Slade and his college future. "I think Auburn is getting close to offering me," said Chad. "They are showing me a lot of interest. They haven't offered me yet, but I think they will soon. I am very interested in them." While some prospect are beginning to feel a little pressure about the recruiting process, Slade reports he is in no hurry to make any decisions. "I am going to wait and then take my visits and then see what happens," said Chad. "I want to see how things go before I make a decision."
