Recruiting Update: DE Femi Awe

Femi Awe is a 6-3/205 pound defensive end that wreaks havoc in the opposing teams backfield. For is efforts on the gridiron, Awe was rated one of the Top 100 defensive ends in the country and has picked up a hand full of offers. caught up with Awe to get the latest.

Mansfield, Texas Defensive End, Femi Awe, has had a busy summer thus far doing workouts with his teammates preparing for his senior season at Mansfield High School.

Awe has a also picked up some offers as well this summer.

“I got offered by Kansas State, University of Houston, Nebraska, and the University of Arizona,” said Awe who already had an offer from TCU. “Baylor, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma are also showing me a lot of interest.”

Out of the schools that have offered Awe, the only school that he has visited so far is TCU.

“TCU has a good campus and is a really good school academically. I also really like the way that their defense plays.”

Awe plans on taking his time when it comes to committing to a school.

“I will take all five of my official visits to schools that have offered me. And I don’t plan on taking them until later on this fall.”

“I’ll pick a school after my visits."

Off the field, Awe is a very good student. He scored a 1460 on the SAT the first time around.
