Fort Bend Lineman To Arizona

Fort Bend Lineman To Arizona

It is the middle of the summer, so it is time to get caught up on who has offers from who as we talk to the coaches around the state on their players being recruited.

Last season at the Scout.com combines several players stood out. One who stood out was Carter Lees, a massive offensive lineman from Sugar Land, Texas. He stood out for many reasons, size is one reason, but his performance is why stood out to us.

The big lineman did not test well. His fourty time was below par, his shuttle time was not great. Still when it came to the individual drills he took it up a notch. Lees showed quickness, he showed toughness and he showed some measureable talent.

My notes from that event said he was a division one player, but needed to shore up his physigue more. A year has passed and he has gotten bigger, turned some mass to muscle and finally the hard work has paid off.

Kempner's Head Football Coach, James Brown, has notified Scout.com that Carter Lees is in fact an Arizona commit.

"Carter Lees, offensive line, had offers from Arizona, Texas Tech, and UTEP. He is committed to Arizona", said Coach Brown.

Though Lees is a couple of years of being ready to play division one football, he does have talent and anyone who sees the big guy, they know he can move.

Stay with Scout.com for more on Carter and other players in Texas.
