Sling-N-Shoot Recap: TE's
Gerald Christian (2010, Dwyer) -- Christian, who plays on defense in high school, lined up at tight end/receiver the entire weekend and caught a lot of passes for Dwyer. He's such a physical presence on the field that he demands a lot of attention around the line of scrimmage. Whenever Dwyer got down near the goal line, Christian became a huge factor. He's so strong and tough to jam coming off the line that he made things difficult on opposing LBs/DBs throughout the weekend. Mike McFarland (2010, Blake) -- The Florida commitment knows how to go up and get jump balls. He still needs to get a lot more physical but he runs really well for a kid his size and his athleticim alone enabled him to make a lot of plays over the weekend. Brandon Fulse (2011, Fort Meade) -- A huge target for Fort Meade, Fulse has soft hands for a big guy and runs pretty well. He has the frame to continue adding weight and at 6-4/250, he might turn into an offensive line prospect down the road. However, he looked comfortable catching balls over the weekend and will be one to watch for 2011. Nick O'Leary (2011, Dwyer) -- He was at the event nursing a pulled groin and spent the weekend as Dwyer's snapper. Physically, he looks great. A legit 6-3 and 230, O'Leary might be the number one tight end prospect in Florida right now -- as a rising junior. He told me he's up to six offers.
