Report - Burns to Temple

Temple picked up their 12th verbal commitment on Monday from Brian Burns.

Brian Burns, a cornerback from Riverdale Baptist High School in Upper Marlboro, Md., committed to Temple today according to an email Scout.com received from his head coach, Bob Shields.

"Crusader Nation,

Please join me in congratulating Brian Burns. Brian, rising Senior DB, verbally committed to Temple University today."

As a junior, Burns had seven interceptions and 40 tackles. As a sophomore, he had six interceptions and 39 tackles.

He has been timed at 4.4 in the 40-yard dash, 4.10 in the short shuttle and boasts a 34-inch vertical leap.
