We have a Champion. Miami Northwestern defeats DeSoto 34-23 to claim the 7ON Championship.
DeSoto delays the inevitable as David Porter has a touchdown grab from 15 out. 34-23 MNW still leads with 18 secs to go.
Not wanting DeSoto to gain confidence, MNW drives down the field quickly and Mike Harris climbs the ladder for an acrobatic TD. MNW leads 34-15 with 5 to go.
Not Dead Yet --- Desoto answers with a 80 yd TD pass to Marcus Murphy. 28-15. Both teams swap 3 and outs following DeSoto's TD Pass.
MNW's Corvin Lamb is starting to have a tournament that almost puts him on par with Bridgewater. He takes a handoff and scampers 20 yards then takes a swing pass and somehow gets the corner for another 30. Michael Harris finishes the drive with a 25 yard td catch. Bulls are beginning to run away with this one 28-7 with 12:42 to go
After a perfectly thrown long 50 yard pass goes through the hands of a MNW receiver, MNW responds with several nice plays to work the ball down the field and a TD pass to Roy Smith. MNW leads 20-7.
Long MNW drives ends with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater taking longer than the allowed four seconds and a sack on fourth down. Desoto had one play before the end of the half and a hail mary was knocked down by MNW. We are at halftime 14-7 MNW leading DeSoto.
DeSoto's Darius Terrell fights his way to the front of the goalline and catches a five yard TD. PAT is good and DeSoto trails Miami Northwestern 14-7
Roy Smith brings in a fourth down pass for a touchdown and extends Miami Northwestern's lead to 14-0
Desoto overthrows an open receiver on thord down turning the ball over on the MNW 20.
And we're off!! Desoto goes three and out on first possession. MNW's Teddy Bridgewater ten yd pass to Hilliard for a TD. PAT knocked down by Adrian White. MNW leads 6-0.

Byrnes gets in the endzone again putting the score at 32-20 with 3 to go.
Ron Lewis with two huge first down conversions. Lakewood should be able to salt this one away. Only a minute left....... Lakewood wins 14-12 to take 5th place.
Byrnes gets on the scoreboard this half with a ten yard pass to Torian Richardson. Serra still leads big 32-14.
Gainesville's Blake Sims has all of a sudden caught fire and has thrown a td pass to Daunte Carr to get Gainesville to within 2. But the conversion failed. 14-12 Lakewood. Too little too late for the team from Georgia?
Tai-ler Jones keeps Gainesville from getting skunked for four straight halves with a touchdown catch, but they can't convert and Lakewood leads Gainesville 14-6.
Serra's George Farmer blows by double coverage to haul in a bomb for td. 60 yard pass and run. 32-8 Serra running away from Byrnes.

Lakewood strikes first in the 5th place game and its a biggie; Jesse Scroggins found a streaking Kevin Medearis for an 80-yard score. Lakewood over Gainesville 7-0 with 8:30 left in half
3rd Place game between Serra and Byrnes as started. Byrnes opened the game with an interception of a deep pass intended for George Farmer. Byrnes cashes in with a short TD pass to Nick Jones and take an 8-0 lead.

Desoto will be playing Miami Northwestern in the finals after getting by Serra 36-27. Byrnes will play Serra in the 3rd place game.
Game Over Miami Northwestern eliminates Byrnes 26-15
Serra is back with Conner Preston leading the way. Paul Richardson had a long reception and Shaq Richard scores. But George Farmer can't come up with the conversion so Desoto is still up one. 28-27
Teddy Bridgewater throws a laser from 20 out to Michael Harris a TD. 26-15 MNW leads Byrnes with 4 to go.
Byrnes drives to the five quickly but MNW forces four straight incompletions and gets the ball back.
Byrnes' lead is short lived as Teddy Bridgewater hits Roy Smith from ten out give Miami Northwestern the lead 20-15.
Byrnes answers with a drive and scores on a diving Nick Jones TD grab from the five. Lattimore hauls in the go ahead extra point and Byrnes leads 15-14.
Miami Northwestern scores on its first possession of the second half to go up 14-8 on Byrnes.
Byrnes and Miami Northwestern remain ties entering the half -- 8-8
Byrnes hits Marcus Lattimore on a five yard out to even the score with Miami Northwestern at 8-8.
Miami Northwestern is up 8-0 scoring on first drive against Byrnes. Zach Miller stopped MNW's second drive with an interception in Byrnes' Endzone.
George Farmer just made an incredible bobbling catch in the end zone for Serra, but it ruled out of bounds. Desoto dodged a bullet there. Ryan Polite and DeSoto take advantage. Polite connects with Sam Ajala twice and Desoto extends their lead to 15-7
Desotos Ryan Polite runs their spread option attack to perfection and they also go for two and score. Like we said yesterday, Darius Terrell is a flat-out stud. Desoto 8-7
Serra starts out their semi final in style - a 70-yard bomb to Robert Woods. They also convert. Serra 7-0 over Desoto

Byrnes runs out the clock en route to a rare whitewashing of gainesville 34-0.
Lakewood's defense held fast as the lancers took out dallas skyline 25-22 in a tough game. Lakewood is still alive, and Skyline's tournament is done.
Kevin Anderson takes a Jesse Scroggins slant and goes to the house to put Lakewood takes its first lead of the day against Skyline and is on top 25-22 with 6 minutes left.
And Dodd is out for Byrnes but they are still scoring! 34-0 with 4 left.
Byrnes QB Chase Dodd's nickname should be cuisinart, because he is just slicing and dicing Gainesvilles defense into little bits. His latest score is to Marcus Lattimore.
Jesse Scroggins is doing his part for Lakewood, marching them down for a score right out of the gate for the second half.
Down 20, Alabama Commit QB/ATH Blake Sims for Gainesville has come out in the 2nd half at the WR position. The change didn't pay immediate dividends as Gainesville quickly went 3 and out on its first possession.

One to Darren Seamster for six and the other to Demarcus Burks for the conversion. Desoto comes right back where they left off. Ryan Polite drives them downfield for a touchdown and two point converstion to lead. 8-7 with 16 left in half.
