After Spring and many summer University camps it is becoming apparent that the Sunshine State is…
Florida running back with slew of offers
"I have not been to any camps lately," said Jeremy Hester. "Most of the schools that have offered me told me it doesn't matter if I go to camps because they already offered me. I was supposed to go up to Alabama's camp yesterday, but I missed my ride." "Right now I have a whole bunch of offers. I know I have Southeastern Louisiana, Louisiana Monroe, Memphis, East Carolina, Northern Illinois and Western Kentucky. I have a few more, but I can't remember. I believe Louisville is close to offering me as well." "I was planning on making my decision before the season started. I am not sure what I want to do because I am not sure if something else is going to come along." "Something is telling me to wait, and something is telling me to go ahead with a commitment. I am thinking hard about what I am going to do." "Out of all the offers I have I am looking toward Memphis right now. Other than that, if I were to get more offers after my senior year I will check out the schools. I will check out the school and see if it would be best for me. I would not want to commit to someone then have to decommit." Hester is favoring Memphis even though he has not visited the Tigers. "I watched their offense a lot," he said. "They run the spread, but not stingy in giving the running back the ball. I want to go somewhere they run the ball a lot." "I don't mind pass blocking, but I want to do what I am there for. I know they run the ball a lot. I can get to the outside and use my speed to make plays." "As far as their football team I like it. I still want to visit the school to see my likes and dislikes. I haven't been up there yet. Due to car problems I have not been able to go, but plan to go on official visit." Hester updated his team's summer program which he believes will play big dividends for teh 2009 season. "We have been working out since summer began," he said. "We meet up at the school at 8:00 a.m. every morning." "We had a two week break, but since June 16 we have been at it hard. We run and do agilities. We run routes and plays out on the field. We are making progress. I think we are going to shock a few people." "I have been working on my weight. I have gained a lot of weight and maintaining my speed. I don't want to lose my speed due to the weight I have gained." "I am 5-foot-7, 171-pounds. I am just working on everything for me to maintain it. I have been working at my job and going to church."
