"I am calling you to tell you I qualified," stated an excited Frank Crawford. "I will be at Ole Miss on August 7th. I am just excited that I
qualified."
The Ole Miss staff shared the same sentiments.
"I called Coach Vaughn to tell him that I made what I needed to make in English
to get into Ole Miss, and he passed the phone over to Coach Nutt. They both congratulated
me, and they told me that they believed in me the whole time. They said they had
confidence in me the whole time because they knew how hard of a worker I am."
This means a little something extra for Scout.com's #53 nationally rated safety.
"I am just so proud to be the first person in my family to go to college.
That means a lot to my mom and grandmother and just everybody in my family. Everybody
is just real proud of me. This is probably the best day of my life, to be honest."
Crawford has a little message for the Ole Miss fans.
"Tell them I am just excited to be a part of their family, and I am going
to make the best out of the opportunity that is presented to me. I am just a little
overwhelmed by it all, but you will not see anyone more hungry than me when I
hit those practice fields come August. I will probably be the first in line to
check in on (August) 7th. I just can't wait."
