Friday Night Lights: Safeties

Friday Night Lights: Safeties

Florida held their annual Friday Night Lights Camp this weekend and Scout was on hand for all the action. Lets take a closer look at some of the top safeties at the event.

Note: These are just some of the top safeties at the event. They all worked out as corners that night.

Demar Dorsey -- He plays corner and safety in high school and flashes outstanding recovery speed in coverage. He lacks ideal coverage skills right now and projects as a free safety in college.

Jon Dowling -- He worked out at both receiver and DB but it was pretty clear Friday night that he's a better DB. He got his hands on a lot of balls and you can see why he picks off so many passes as a free safety.

Demetrius Pettway -- A decent-sized kid, Pettway played off receivers most of the night but flashed decent cover skills and some pretty good speed. He was also physical in coverage.

Jaylen Watkins -- He's being recruited as a corner but looks like a free safety prospect waiting to happen. He has long arms and runs pretty well.

Note: Stay tuned, as Scout will have video clips from the event of these players posted later this week. Recommended Stories
