Josh Gebhardt makes O-D All-Stars

Josh Gebhardt, prospect from Landmark Christian in Fairburn, Ga., is turning more and more heads as the summer is coming to an end. The versatile defensive prospect traveled to South Carolina earlier this week and came home with honors.

"I went to Myrtle Beach for an elite camp," Josh Gebhardt stated. "This camp was to see who made the Offensive-Defensive All-American Bowl. I worked out as a linebacker and as a defensive lineman."

"I got a lot of publicity at the camp. Tyler Owens told me he heard camera guys talking about me. They (camera guys) were saying to make sure they had film on me."

"At the end of the camp they brought me to a tent. The president of the company that sponsors the game gave me a certificate and a jersey for making the All-Star game. There were more than a hundred players at this elite camp. Only 11 made the All-Star game. I was one of the 11."

Gebhardt wants to showcase his talents against other major college prospects.

"The All-Star game will be in January," he commented. "I wanna dominate in this game. I'm looking to show that I am a major college prospect. I wanna show people that the size of your school doesn't matter. There are players everywhere."

Gebhardt has one offer from Air Force and has been in contact with several major programs. He has recently been in close contact with an up and coming SEC West program.

"In the last few weeks I've been in the closest contact with Ole Miss," he said. "Coach (Terry) Price said he came to watch me play last year and that he was really impressed. I talk to Ole Miss about once a week."

Gebhardt is not pinpointing any particular schools at this time.

"I don't even really have a list right now," he said. "I'm interested in a lot of schools. I'm wide open."
