Crab Bowl Combine Interview: Axel Ofori

One of the sixty best players in the state of Maryland, Axel Ofori, takes some time during the Crab Bowl Combine to speak with Scout.com about the combine, his game, and what’s going on with his recruiting. Axel is not really a household name but he should be. He was one of the standouts at the combine because of his speed and overall athleticism.

Axel Ofori is quietly sneaking up the charts as one of the better defensive backs in Maryland. Axel ran a 4.15-second pro shuttle, and also posted a 1.65-second ten yard split. Axel also nearly jumped through the roof with a 39-inch vertical jump.

Axel is setting the bar high for himself this upcoming season, saying he wants to rush for over 1500 yards and post double digit touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball Axel hopes to reach five interceptions, nab 80 tackles or so, and he plans on taking two of those interceptions to the house for scores on defense.

Axel currently holds offers from Louisville, Monmouth University, and Tennessee State University.
