Grand Blanc (Mich.) receiver Tony Jones announced minutes ago that he would be playing his college football at Northwestern.
Jones was down to a final two of the Wildcats and Michigan State. He also had offers from Stanford, Indiana, Illinois, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt and others.
The 6'0, 180-lb Jones is a three star prospect with 4.45 speed. He used that ability to make 69 receptions for 1,065 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior.
A fine student, he carries a 3.7 core grade point average and a 24 on his ACT. He plans to study pre-law in college.
Special thanks to Sean Scherer for contributing to this story. Scout.com will have more on Jones shortly.
