Jeremy Hester is a talented running back prospect from Arnold High in Panama City and Scout caught…
Scout's Take: So. Miss RB commitment
What to Like: Speed. He has plenty of it and just flat out runs by people at the high school level. He often will take the handoff, bounce outside, and then just outrun everyone to the endzone. He has some serious speed. He was also very productive. Say what you want about how he gets it done but the bottom line is that he gets it done and that's a big reason why a lot of schools came in and offered him. He's also a threat to make things happen in the passing game and in the return game. What may concern you: He's not a natural running back yet. He's more like a very fast kid who just outruns everyone for most of his yards. He won't be able to do that in college so he'll have to develop more of a natural running style and get some yards between the tackles. His size could be an issue with going inside (5-8 and 165) so he'll need to bulk up. Bottom Line: He's one of the state's fastest running back prospects who put up a whole lot of yards over the last few seasons playing against sub-par competition for the state of Florida. Look for him to be a situational runner at first, someone who can move out and play in the slot and someone who can be a threat in the return game as well.
