After spending the past two years at Las Vegas (Nev.) High, Jordan Turner has made a move.
"There's been a few major changes with Jordan," said his father, Daren. "We moved, which led Jordan to enroll at Canyon Springs. JT's excited about going to Canyon Springs and playing for head coach Hunkie Cooper. Jordan hasn't been this excited and motivated in a few years and he wants to do everything in his power to help Canyon Springs and his new teammates to have a great season."
Turner has also gotten things done in the classroom.
"JT did well, improving his academic standing this summer," said his father. "He raised his GPA to nearly a 2.55 and he's re-taking two more classes the first semester next year to raise his GPA to where he wants it to be."
From a recruiting standpoint, Turner is still waiting for his first offer, but the talking continues with several schools.
"JT continues to talk to a few coaches from several conferences like the SEC, Big-12, Pac-10, WAC and Mountain West conferences. He's focused on just having a great season and transitioning to his new school and continue to raise his academics."
Now he's poised for a big senior season.
"This summer he trained like a mad man and he's planning on doing something really amazing this year, something that's never been done before," said his father."
