The East's #1 prospect makes a move to the Midlands

From Bishop O'Dowd to the Hun School in Princeton and now to perennial power Grandview High in Aurora, CO. That has been the journey of Scout.com's #5 player nationally and Notre Dame commit Chris Martin.

Scout.com analyst Brandon Huffman first got word and Martin blogged about the move on his facebook page.

Over the past few seasons Grandview High School in Aurora, Colorado has become one of the top programs in Colorado on the strength of a very good defense. In 2007, the Wolves won a state title and in 2008, during an 11-1 campaign, Grandview surrendered just 11 points a game. The addition of the athletic and tenacious Martin will bolster a Grandview defense known for getting after the QB. Martin, who is also a very talented tight end, will work with receiver Heath Davis to give Grandview a potentially solid passing game. With Martin now in Colorado, the Centennial League, which boasts the last two 5A state champions in Mullen High School and Grandview, has two of the top pass rushers in the west when you count Nduka Onyeali of Mullen
