Umejei to Transfer

Kevin Umejei informed me today that he will be transferring to Florida, possibly in Miami for his senior season. Umejei is an incredible athlete, standing 6-foot-1, weighing 280-pounds and can easily dunk a basketball. Umejei has lined up everywhere on defense, including middle linebacker, defensive tackle, defensive end, and even a little defensive back.

Kevin Umejei intends to move down to Florida with some family members for his senior season. Umejei says Miami Northwestern Senior High looks like the school he will be ending up at.

One thing is for sure, Umejei will get to put his skills to the test, as that area is one of the best in the entire country when it comes to high school football. If Umejei is the real deal, which I think he is, he will certainly be looked at and evaluated enough that his recruiting could start to seriously heat up.

Currently South Florida, Maryland, Rutgers, Duke, Syracuse, UCF, and Temple have been recruiting Umejei. Kevin attended camp at Rutgers and Syracuse, and while no one has offered, don’t expect any of those schools to back off with the news of a transfer. If anything, expect more schools to start recruiting Umejei once they get a look at his athletic abilities.

Kevin is also a humble and well rounded kid who seems very excited about his future home.
