Tabannah to Play Several Positions
Devonta Tabannah currently holds six offers from Akron, James Madison, Maine, Towson, Delaware State and Monmouth. He feels he is close to some others and that his upcoming season will give him a chance to further impress the coaches. "I will be playing quarterback, defensive back and returning punts and kicks," said Tabannah. "Even though I have a lot of speed and can run the ball I will also be throwing a lot in our offense as well. Playing defense and returning kicks will let me show the college coaches what I can do. Most schools are recruiting me as a running back or cornerback. They also say I can help with the return game" Although Tabannah already holds offers he is still hearing from schools and is interested in others as well. At the top of this list are North Carolina, Connecticut and West Virginia. "North Carolina and Connecticut have been talking to me a lot. I like West Virginia as well. North Carolina said they have offers out at corner already so they have to wait and hear back from some of those players before they offer me. Connecticut really likes me as an athlete and a specialist." Tabannah will be taking visits to schools this fall, both official and unofficial. He wasn't sure when yet but did mention four schools he will see for sure. "I will be visiting Akron, North Carolina, Connecticut and West Virginia definitely. I plan on those being official visits. I will also visit a few other schools based on how the recruiting goes."
