Scout.com Report
Morse's strengths are his explosiveness off the ball, his effort, and his size.
Morse has a great body for the position. To play in the trenches in the Big 12, you have to have a body that is sturdy and can withstand the pounding, a body that is long and athletically built, and a body that can hold weight naturally; Morse fits the mold. He has the size you like to see in a major college offensive lineman.
From his three point stance, Morse is explosive off the ball. He initiates contact at the point of attack and follows through with powerful and explosive hip and leg drive. He fires out with picturesque technique (low, flat back, not over extended) however, he tends to get high when contact is made. Morse is 6'6 so he must work at staying low. He is not the most natural knee bender and he shows his inflexibility when he overextends in his blocks instead of sinking his hips and bringing his face.
Has a great drive block but struggles against the speed rush. When the rush is coming to fast he tends to open up his hips giving the defensive lineman a two way go. Must work on getting into he pass set in hurry so he can catch and mirror the rush.
Morse also plays defensive. He is relentless, has good lateral pursuit, and again, he has explosiveness off the ball. However, he projects as an OT because on defensive he plays high, doesn't disengage the block well, and doesn't have great hand moves.
