Shepherd talks big win and Crimson Tide

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin Shepherd was playing against future teammate Nick Perry over the weekend, but that was not on his mind. He was thinking about his assignments and he took care of business. After North Gwinnett defeated Prattville 14-11 the Alabama commitment talked with Scout.com.

It was the second game of the Progressive Football Challenge in Suwanee and it was a big one.

Prattville traveled over from Alabama Saturday to play North Gwinnett and it was a state championship like atmosphere. Many top prospects were involved in the game and one of them was Austin Shepherd.

The 6-foot-5, 308 pound offensive lineman out of the Peach State is committed to Alabama and he helped the Bulldogs defeat the Lions 14-11.
