Demarcus Milliner senior game film and photos

Demarcus Milliner, Scout.com five-star cornerback from Millbrook-Stanhope Elmore, Ala., had a solid performance in his first game of the season despite a 28-21 loss to Hewitt-Trussville. Scout.com was on hand to capture the nation's No. 1 cornerback in action.

Demarcus Milliner is easily spotted on the field among other elite athletes. He's the teammate others depend on when a big play is needed or a make a stop on the defensive side of the ball.

Milliner is a tough competitor who is a heat-seeking missile on defense. He had some big hits in the game, and the weight room should become his friend before playing at the SEC level.

Milliner lined up at safety and always had full coverage of his area. He has the quickness to come up against the run and can get back on a play action pass.

Milliner didn't start on the offensive side of the ball, but was inserted at running back throughout the game. He had a few explosive runs and converted on a pair of key third downs. He was hit twice in the backfield on one third down play, but continued to move his feet and fought for the first down.

Milliner also coverted a fake punt where he took the ball around the right end with no room to work with, ran back across the other side of the field for another first down.

He was a standout on the field all night, but couldn't win the game by himself. He is no doubt a five-star prospect and certainly played like it in the season opener.
