Florida corner ready for first trip

Tyrone Bouie is a standout cornerback prospect from Seminole High in Sanford and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Tyrone Bouie helped his Seminole team to an undefeated season last year and the 6A state title. They started their defense of the title on Friday.

"We lost to Oviedo by two. We made a lot of mistakes on offense. We're gonna pick it up this week against Winter Springs. They threw my way and we had one communication breakdown but it wasn't anything big. Their quarterback was a pretty good athlete."

Bouie, 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds, talked about the latest on the recruiting front.

"I go next week to Minnesota. Me and Toby are going together. We're not sure after that but we're talking to West Virginia."

The standout corner received a few calls last week.

"A few of them called -- West Virginia, Minnesota, New Mexico, Middle Tennessee, USF, a couple other ones I missed."

So who has the edge at this point in the process?

"I watched a little of the Minnesota/Syracuse game. They're all even right now. Me and Toby are going together. I don't wanna name a favorte and then go there and not be interested in them."

Bouie, who picked off five passes last season, claims a 2.4 GPA and a 16 ACT in the classroom.
