Pottsgrove Pitches Shutout
Quarterback Terrell Chestnut was easily the MVP of the game, leading the first-team offense to five touchdowns in the first three quarters. By the time Coach Pennypacker put in his second team the score was already 32-0. Chestnut had a few dazzling runs on the wet grass, carrying the ball nine times for 139 yards and four touchdowns. He only threw two passes, but completed both of them for 33 yards. He did fumble once, however he then forced a fumble on the defensive side of the ball to go along with his many tackles.
Running back Maika Polamalu shared carries with another talented running back from Pottsgrove, however he ended up with seven carries for 57 yards and a touchdown as well to go along with a 13-yard catch. Once Polamalu starts to put some aggression behind his 6-foot, 205-pound frame he could be a tremendous linebacker prospect, but right now he's a bit "too nice" on the field.
Vanderbilt commitment Myron Ross had trouble getting things going against the Pottsgrove offense as their defense dominated the line of scrimmage, but he did manage to pump out 40 yards on 10 carries in the game. Ross has been told that he'll work at both running back and safety for the Commodores and I think I see him more as a defensive player than anything.
Pottsgrove has a number of other talented prospects on their team and we will be getting in touch with them very soon.
