Georgia will get their first shot to impress one of the top defensive ends in the country this…
Top 2011 DE visits UGA
"I liked it down there and I would say the visit went good," said Jadeveon Clowney. "I got to see a good game, I saw some playmakers, and I got to talk to a couple of the Georgia coaches." "I talked to the head coach Mark Richt and I talked to Coach [Jon] Fabris (defensive ends coach). Me and Coach Fabris talked about a lot of stuff and he told me that he really liked me. He really wants me to come back down there and he wants me to be a Bulldog." "Coach Richt said about the same thing to me. Coach Richt wants me to visit again so they can show me around and show me more than just them playing football. He told me that he wanted me at Georgia too and that was cool. It was nice hearing that from a cool head coach." Clowney, the top junior in South Carolina liked what Coach Richt said about seeing more than just a game. The South Pointe star plans to return. "I saw a good game and the fans were great, but I want to see more and learn more about the school. Coach Richt wants me back for a personal visit and I will be doing that. I want to see the campus more, spend some time with the coaches, learn about the academics there, and some other stuff." While his first trip to UGA was on the day of the season opener at home and he couldn't see everything, the 6-foot-5, 235 pound defensive end still enjoyed his time there. "It was wild man," said Clowney. "My first experience was a good one and they made a good first impression on me. I liked how the players kept playing, I liked the atmosphere there a lot, and I learned that the coaches really want me to be a Bulldog." "Georgia is still in my top four (with Florida, LSU, and South Carolina) and I am going to get back down there for another visit for sure. I want to see more than I saw Saturday to learn about the school." Chad Simmons is the Recruiting Analyst for the South Region and he can be reached at ChadSimmons@Scout.com.
