Not everything that came out of Florida State's loss to Miami was negative. Read on for more details…
Florida WR names favorite
Greg Dent and his Glades Central teammates have gotten off to a fast start so far this season. "We're 2-0 with wins over Dwyer and Palm Beach Central," Dent said. "I had a pick and a touchdown against Dwyer and then I scored another touchdown and a two-point conversion last week. We got American Heritage this week. I've been playing both ways and it's been going good." Dent, 6-feet and 175 pounds, talked about the latest on the recruiting front. "Florida State is my top choice right now," he said. "I've been talking to Coach Carter a lot. Me and him are cool. I like how they throw a lot of balls to the wide receivers and I think that would be a real good opportunity foe me to go in there and play right away." Dent was on FSU's campus earlier this month and plans on going back. "I went up for the Miami game," he said. "Even though they lost it was a real good game. I got a chance to meet and talk a lot to Clint Trickett. They say he's a pretty good quarterback. I plan on going back up for when they play USF. I'm going to the Florida/Tennessee game this week." So besides the Noles, who else is on the radar screen for the standout senior? "The only other two schools that have been calling me are FIU and Middle Tennessee," he said. "Miami offered me during the spring but I haven't talked to them since then." Inside the classroom, Dent claims a 2.5 GPA and a 17 ACT score.
