Tenn. commitment impressed with Vols
"Everything is going good," said Matt Milton. "I rolled my ankle in the first game. I am getting ready to come back to 100-percent. I have played in every game though. I have been used mainly as a decoy. We are 2-2. We won on Friday night." "I had a big game. It feels good to be back to almost 100-percent. I had 10 carries for 267 yards with three rushing touchdowns. I had 50 receiving yards with one touchdown as well. It was the first conference game." Milton shared more about his insights of the SEC contest between Tennessee and the Florida Gators. "I thought it was a solid game," he said. "I thought we made a few mistakes and could have made it closer. I definitely thought we surprised a lot of people. We were 30-point underdogs, but I think we could have won." "It was exciting as a recruit to see how the team played down there. It showed the coaching staff is doing well. They had the players ready and prepared for the game. I feel comfortable knowing that I am committing to a program that is improving." Milton doesn't have plans to visit Knoxville during the season, but expects his official visit to take place in December. He remains in contact with his recruiting coach. "I talked to coach [Jim] Chaney a couple days ago," he said. "Coach Chaney and I talk about everything. He tries to touch base all the time. I like coach Chaney. Talking to him about football is one of the coolest things. He broke down film when we were at the camp. He showed us what we were doing wrong and how to make it right." The elite prospect talked about the top-ranked recruiting class in the SEC. "I think it's great," he said. "I know a lot of guys that have committed. I think it's great so many young guys coming in that are highly recruited. They had a big class last year with Bryce Brown and Nu'keese [Richardson]. Those guys are going to be there just about my whole career."
