Palmdale, Calif. - Christian Thomas is Scout's No. 7 ranked tight end nationally, and the only one from the Top 15 at his position that has yet to make a commitment. He helped lead his team to a victory on Thursday night.

Christian Thomas (6-3/245) is Scout's No. 7 ranked tight end in the country. He is the highest ranked player at his position that has yet to make a college decision, and the only tight end in the Top 15 not to have made a commitment.

Thomas helped lead his Highland team to a victory over Canyon on Thursday night. I've seen Thomas play in 7v7s, but this was the first time I've gotten to see him live with the pads on.

Scout's No. 7 tight end plays offense with a linebacker mentality. He attacks linebackers trying to jam him, and he rips through would be tacklers once he's made the catch.

Violent; that's the word I would use to describe him on passing plays whether it's running his route or once he has made his catch.

Where he needs to improve is in his interior blocking. He sometimes settles for shielding a defender, rather than using his advantage in size and strength to drive his man. If he can channel the same aggression he uses as a receiver into being a blocker, he'll be the complete package at tight end.
