Commitment Tracker: A.J. Marshall
"Our season is going really good," said A.J. Marshall. "We have our big rivalry game this week against Hillside. We are 4-1 this year. I feel like I have been doing good. I have three interceptions. I am averaging around 35-40 yards a punt. I am doing my part to contribute to the team." Marshall attended a couple of home games to check out his future team. "I went to the Baylor and Stanford game," he said. "They are looking good. They lost to a good team in Baylor. They showed what they could do. They have had some good comeback wins. They brought it in the first half against Elon. I look for them to have a good week this week at Boston College." "The atmosphere was great. It's always great. The students were hyped. The Demon Deacon came out on a motorcycle. All the guys were hyped after the Stanford game. Coach [Ray] McCartney brought me on the field before the game to interact before the game. They made me feel welcome." "I talk to them at least once a week. I talk to coach [Tim] Billings and coach [Steve] Russ. They pretty much just call to check in on me. They wish me good luck in my games. Coach Billings was going to come to our last game, but the weather was real bad." Marshall plans to return to Wake Forest for the N.C. State game. He has already formed relationships with future teammates. "I am real cool with Zachary Allen and Merrill Noel," Marshall said. "I know Matt James well. I talked to Desmond Cooper on Facebook. I am trying to get to know a lot of the guys. They all seem like good guys with a lot of character."
