Nunley Not Sweating The Process
Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway cornerback Dayonne Nunley has a scholarship offer from D-IAA power Villanova, but obviously like any big time prospect he wants some FBS offers. While he may be disappointed you'd never know speaking with him about the recruiting process. "I'm not paying attention to it," Nunley said. "I'm just going to keep doing what I do. If I do that, then the rest will take care of itself. We're (3-0) right now and it feels good. We are just taking it one game at a time and we're working hard. As long as we keep working hard we will keep getting better." Nunley has been hearing from Central Michigan, Bowling Green, Pittsburgh and Villanova. He has taken two unofficial trips to Heinz Field this season to see the Panthers in action. "It went real well down there," Nunley said. "I had a real nice time. I like the atmosphere there. I got to see my boy Cam (Saddler) do his thing. He had a couple of good returns and he had a long run on a reverse." Even if Nunley doesn't get any more offers he is happy that Villanova stepped up. "They may be D-IAA, but it still feels good to get the offer," Nunley stated. "They have been showing me a lot of love and I like them a lot. I'm going to take a visit there either at the end of this month or in early October." Nunley and the Gators take on Penn-Trafford this Friday.
