Schools still chasing Wake commit

Desmond Cooper is a talented safety prospect from Bolles High in Jacksonville and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Desmond Cooper made a summer commitment to Wake Forest and he remains committed to them.

"I'm planning on going to Wake Forest this weekend and next weekend for unofficial visits, Cooper said. "I still get calls from Maryland, Arkansas, Louisville, and that's basically it. They're seeing if I'm still committed and stuff. I'm just staying committed to Wake Forest and that will be my only visit after the season."

Cooper, 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, said he's been following Wake's season so far.

"I saw they lost to Boston College in overtime. They're young but they're playing pretty good."

The standout safety prospect talked about his young senior season so far.

"We're good right now. We're 3-0. It's been a good start. I had a blocked field goal, two punt blocks, about 20 tackles, and one interception."

Inside the classroom Cooper claims a 2.9 GPA.
