Anderson Getting Interest

Julien Anderson

The Wash High Prexies were a power in the WPIAL back in the early 1990's and with the help of players like Julien Anderson new head coach mike Bosnic hopes to get them back to the top.

Washington (Pa.) junior wide receiver Julien Anderson is an exceptional athlete who has begun to attract D-I interest from the likes of Kansas, Rutgers and Ohio. Anderson is currently making plans for a trip to Rutgers.

"I am going to go visit Rutgers on October 10 for homecoming," Anderson said. "They have been sending me a lot of mail. I'm very excited to go up there and check it out. They are recruiting me as a wide receiver."

Washington High is now under the leadership of former Pittsburgh Panther Mike Bosnic. Anderson says it has been very helpful having a former D-I player around to help with recruiting.

"He helps me a lot with recruiting," Anderson stated. "He has been contacting a lot of coaches for me and getting my film ready to send to schools."

Anderson and the Prexies are (2-2) this season. Anderson's exploits on the field are big reason for their early success.

"We're doing well, obviously it could be better," Anderson said. "I have been playing wide receiver. The one game I had nine catches for 114 yards and I had 100 yards the next game. I'm not sure what my overall stats are."

Anderson has also played quarterback and safety for the Prexies in the past.
