Hutchinson was the higher ranked team coming in to the game against Fort
Scott on September 26th, but it didn't take long to see that Fort Scott was the
better team on that Saturday afternoon.
LSU commitment Jermarcus Hardrick helped pave the way to a bruising 31-0 win.
Hardrick is a 4-Star offensive tackle prospect originally from powerful South
Panola High School in Batesville, Miss.. Listed on Fort Scott's roster at 6-7
and 295 pounds, Hardrick looks like he easily tips the scales at over 300.
An athletic big man, Hardrick moves his feet well. He's naturally strong and is able to get good leverage to win the battle with his defender, even if he doesn't win the initial battle of pad level. He has a strong base, upper body and hands, and with his long arms he is able dictate to the defense. Needs to become a little more flexible with his knee bend to improve pad level. Solid run blocker who enjoys finishing blocks.
One of the more impressive plays he makes is on punt coverage... on the last
play of the game... in a 31-0 blowout. Hardrick shows off his high-motor,
conditioning, and athleticism hustling down on punt coverage to get in on a
tackle in a game that had been decided long before this play.
