BC Watches Giubilato
Quarterback Mark Giubilato led his team to victory with two touchdown passes on Friday in a win over Army Prep and Boston College assistant coach Jeff Comissiong was on hand to see the 6-foot-3, 225-pound signal caller sling the rock. Comissiong did recruit Giubilato when he was a senior at St. Joseph's Prep in Philadelphia, Pa., and is reportedly looking at him as a defensive prospect. I have been watching Giubilato for years and have no problem going on an island and saying I think he has All-Conference ability as a linebacker at the collegiate level. He doesn't even look like he weighs 225 pounds, could easily carry 245-255 pounds at the collegiate level, is extremely strong and spent his summer training with Mark Herzlich who spoke very highly of Giubilato. We've seen Giubilato cover FBS committed wide receivers at cornerback very effectively and with his size and coverage ability, he could turn into an absolutely fantastic outside linebacker. The player that comes to mind when I watch Giubilato is Chad Greenway. A lot of hyperbole maybe, but Greenway was a quarterback that played eight-man football in high school, so maybe not.
