Tarean Austin looking at several
"I've been in the closest contact with FIU (Florida International)," Tarean Austin stated. "They call me a lot. They call me every weekend. I talk to them about two or three times a week." "They check up on me. They want to know about my games. They want to know about my health. They keep me updated on what's going on with their program. I talk to them more than any other school." Austin has two official visits in mind, but he's in no rush to name a leading school. "I don't have any favorite schools right now," he said. "I'm just focused on what's going on right now. I'm focusing on my senior year. If I focus on that the rest will take care of itself. "I don't have any official visits set up yet. If I had to name some schools, I'd say that I'll take official visits to Iowa State and Towson (University). Those might be officials that I'd have in mind, but that isn't for sure. I just don't know, yet." Location is not a factor, nor any particular conference. "The conference won't matter," Austin said. "You shouldn't be picky. You should be worried about your education first. If you do that everything else will fall into place. "I can't really say that location will factor either. I would love to leave the state and see what's out there. It'd be kinda' nice to leave the state and see other places. I can't really say whether location will factor or not, right now." The Tampa native put up some impressive numbers halfway through the regular season. "We've played five games so far," he said. "I've got 1,000 yards passing. I've rushed for a little over 200 yards. I've thrown 10 touchdowns, and I've rushed for four touchdowns. Our record is 4-1 right now." For Austin it's simple. He is looking for one thing in a program. "I want a program to make me feel like I'm at home. That's about it," he said. Tarean Austin has taken unofficial visits to Central Florida, Florida, Florida International, and Florida State.
