Sanders Happy To Be Back
Vincent Sanders profile "I started playing again the week before last," said the talented wide out. "My jaw only hurts when I yawn. It doesn't bother me most of the time. I can get out there and play without any problems. I can do all the things I could do before. I don't really even think about it when I am out there." One of the games Sanders was forced to miss was the eagerly anticipated matchup with West Point. The Green Wave rolled in and ended Noxubee County's winning streak that dated back to the 2007 state championship loss to Laurel. "That was real disappointing," said Vincent of the loss. "I felt like we could have done a lot better. There were some plays we could have made. "We had an 18 game winning streak and that's over. The bad part about that is that one of our goals was to go undefeated again. It really hurt not to be out there with the team that night. I had to watch from the sidelines and I couldn't do anything about it. "We won't be able to get them back because they moved up to 5A this year and we're still in 4A." The college football season has afforded Sanders the chance to go see some of the teams that are recruiting him up close and personal. He has taken a few trips and he has plans for even more. "I have been to so some Ole Miss and Mississippi State games, but that has been it so far," said Vincent. "I am supposed to go to the Alabama and Tennessee game, the Alabama game against LSU and Mississippi State's game with Florida. I was supposed to go to Ole Miss last weekend, but our game got changed to Saturday because of the weather." Vincent admits the recruiting process can get rather busy, but he reports that he is taking everything in stride. "I get a lot of calls from all of these coaches," said Sanders. "I won't say I ever get tired of it, but it's hard to talk to everybody all the time especially when you have something to do. I am still having fun with it though." It does not appear that the fun will end anytime soon for the All-State selection. "I have been impressed with all of the teams recruiting me," said Vincent. "I am not really focusing on all of that right now though. I am trying to focus on the team. "I want to wait until I get through with my season. I know I want to take some visits and I may wait until I get I close to signing day before I make a decision. I just don't know."
