Georgia linebacker picks ECU

The state of Georgia is rich with talent and East Carolina has gotten one that may have slipped through the cracks. Find out who the Pirates got a commitment from here.

Terry Williams received an offer from the East Carolina Pirates on Tuesday and it did not take him long to make a decision.

The 6-foot, 260 pound linebacker slept on it for one night and decided Thursday morning that he wanted to be a Pirate.

The Loganville (GA) Grayson starting middle linebacker is a true football player. He packs a powerful punch up the middle, he has good instincts, and he is a leader on the footbal field.

He is leading the Rams in tackles with over 60 in eight games. He has helped Grayson become the top school in AAAAA (Georgia's highest classification) with an 8-0 record.

Williams is the third Division I commitment in Mickey Conn's 2010 class. Kori Gaines has committed to BYU and Shawn Williams to Georgia Tech.

The new ECU commit was also receiving interest from a list of MAC and Sun Belt schools.

He is currently on track to qualify academically.

Chad Simmons is the Recruiting Manager for the South Region and he can be reached at Recommended Stories
