SEC Publishers/Writers Predictions:
BamaMag.com (43-11)
Ole Miss 38, Arkansas 35 -- If both quarterbacks are on, this could be a fun one.
Alabama 31, Tennessee 14 -- Piece of No. 1 ranking won't distract Tide with Vols coming to town.
Kentucky 21, Louisiana-Monroe 14 -- Wildcats get above .500.
South Carolina 24, Vanderbilt 7 -- Gamecocks still have plenty to play for.
Florida 42, Mississippi State 0 -- Meyer would like to be kind to Mullen...NOT.
LSU 24, Auburn 21 -- The annual sure win for the Tigers...this year LSU, but closer than expected.
HawgsIllustrated.com (47-8)
Arkansas 28, Ole Miss 24 - The Razorbacks coaches and players have been waiting for this game since about the time an offensive pass interference was called against London Crawford in last year's game - a play they believe cost them the win. The fan base? Since they took the golden handcuffs off.
Alabama 27, Tennessee 10 - The new number one team in the country is not about to let an old rival stand in the way of a much-anticipated showdown in December with Florida that really should be the national title game.
Kentucky 24, ULM 14 - Kentucky linebacker and current SEC defensive player of the week Micah Johnson is one of the best in college football. ULM has some talent on that side of the ball as well, but not enough.
South Carolina 21, Vanderbilt 10 - Speaking of defense, one can not say enough about the job Gamecock defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson and his staff are doing. It continues this week.
Florida 31, Mississippi State 10 - The Gamecocks got their wake-up call from Arkansas last week. The refs who worked the game probably got one, too.
LSU 21, Auburn 14 - The Tigers of Auburn are a pretty good team, but they are running a gauntlet in their schedule right now and going to LSU this weekend is probably going to help things much.
autigers.com (ITAT) (41-9)
Arkansas at Ole Miss--Arkansas has played well in recent weeks and will find a way to win in Oxford.
Tennessee at Alabama--The Tide's defense will be the difference in this rivalry game.
Louisiana-Monroe at Kentucky--The Wildcats make it two wins in a row.
Vanderbilt at South Carolina--Vandy has regressed and will lose again this week.
Florida at Mississippi State--The Gators will stay undefeated as they visit their former offensive coordinator who is running the show in Starkville.
Auburn at LSU--For five straight years these matchups have gone down to the wire. AU's defensive struggles will make it tough to win on the road so look for an LSU victory.

Arkansas 28 at Ole Miss 24 - The Razorbacks are playing inspired football.
Tennessee 7 at Alabama 18 - Kiffin plays it close to the vest again and rides the running backs.
Louisiana-Monroe 6 at Kentucky 31 - Kentucky has had a very tough schedule and played almost every team really tough. They win big out of conference.
Vanderbilt 7 at South Carolina 24 - South Carolina bounces back.
Florida 27 at Mississippi State 13 - Florida still finding their way on offense.
Auburn 13 at LSU 30 - Auburn showing they were just paper Tigers with a friendly start to their schedule.

Arkansas 27, Ole Miss 20 - Great game between the Rebs and the Hogs. Arkansas comes out on top behind Ryan Mallet's big arm.
Alabama 41, Tennessee 16 - Saban 1, Kiffin 0.
Kentucky 33, La Monroe 14 - Kentucky uses it's three-headed monster at quarterback to it's advantage. Cobb explodes for a big game.
South Carolina 31, Vanderbilt 10 - Gamecocks come out strong and don't let up on the struggling Commodores.
Florida 45, Miss St 17 - Teacher versus pupil doesn't come out well for the pupil. Though Miss State doesn't back down.
LSU 24, Auburn 13 - LSU is too strong for Auburn in Baton Rouge.
TigerSportsDigest.com (39-13)
Arkansas 21, Ole Miss 24: The Rebels need to secure a conference win, and this week's match with the Razorbacks is their chance. Surely Houston Nutt will have something special drawn up for the Hog fans.
Tennessee 3, Alabama 16: Both defenses will come to play in this one, but there will be no slowing the Tide. Alabama stays perfect this week behind strong running late in the game from Mark Ingram.
ULM 10, Kentucky 27: The Wildcats stopped the Auburn offense in Lexington last week, so Louisiana-Monroe should be another chance for Brooks and the 'Cats to get another win. Things will stay close in the first half before Kentucky pulls away in the third quarter.
Vandy 7, South Carolina 24: The Gamecocks are playing strong football this season, and that should continue against the Commodores. A loss to Alabama should have Steve Spurrier's group ready to get back on that right track.
Florida 24, MSU 6: The Bulldogs have former offensive coordinator Dan Mullen on their side, but will it be enough to slow the nation's top team? Probably not, though MSU did put on a show against LSU in Starkville. Look for the Gators to flirt with the Bulldogs before putting them away.
Auburn 17, LSU 27: The LSU defense has played better each week, which is good news with the prolific Auburn offense headed to town. Coming off a bye week, the hometown Bayou Bengals should be able to hold AU off on Saturday night in Death Valley.
Gene'sPage.com (33-10)
Ole Miss 31 Arkansas 28: This could be the game of the week and the team with the ball last may win. Ole Miss did what they needed to do last week and looked impressive doing it. Arkansas may still be suffering from the "what ifs" after nearly knocking off the top ranked Gators. If the Razorbacks have a hangover, it could get ugly. If Arkansas can keep Mallet upright, he could shred a shaky secondary.
Alabama 24 Tennessee 10: Alabama's not winning pretty, but physical football is rarely a beauty contest. The running game and the defense have made enough plays to win without a lot of drama. I expect the same this week. Tennesee will close out strong if they can just get through this week.
Kentucky 28 ULM 7: How about the 'Cats? UK went on the road and pulled the upset last week. Maybe the Tigers were looking ahead, but Kentucky made them pay. Great job by Rich Brooks and his staff especially on defense. 'Cats have hung tough in every game this year win or lose with the exception of Alabama. This week they get to stretch their legs a little.
South Carolina 27 Vanderbilt 10: Go ahead and pencil in a loss for Vandy the rest of the way. I don't see a single team on the remaining schedule they will be favored to win. South Carolina is still a middle of the pack team, but the have enough firepower to win comfortably this week. If you Mr. South Carolina fan, you have to wonder if it's ever going to come together over there.
Florida 21 Mississippi State 10: Florida survived the Hogs' upset bid last week and the road trip to LSU the week before. I am not sure how much Dan Mullen misses the Gators, but it's clear they miss him. It's not all about Percy Harvin. The Bulldogs will come out and make this game interesting and represent themselves well in the national spotlight. In the end I just don't think the Bulldogs have grown up enough to pull the shocker.
LSU 20 Auburn 17: Welcome back to the SEC Gus Malzhan. Some of the best defensive minds in the game work here. Auburn's high octane offense has found things a little more difficult the past two weeks. Now that there is some tape available on the Malzhan system, the big numbers from early in the season may be on hiatus until further notice. Tiger Stadium is one of the toughest places to play in the nation and the Purple and Gold Tigers have to have this one or more to the point Les Miles has to have this one.

Arkansas-Ole Miss: The residue from Ole Miss Coach Houston Nutt's departure from Arkansas still lingers and will make this one a blood bath. Home field advantage will be the difference in a barn burner. Ole Miss 28, Arkansas 24.
Tennessee-Alabama: No stopping Mark Ingram now. Alabama 34, UT 17.
ULM-Kentucky: The Wildcats need a break from the brutal month they just faced and will take it out on the visitors. Kentucky 55, ULM 10.
Vanderbilt-South Carolina: Vandy's offense is too inept to stay afloat in this one. USC 30, Vandy 14.
Florida-Mississippi State: Do not be surprised if this one is closer for a couple of quarters than most experts believe. But number one is number one and the Gators will prevail comfortably. Florida 34, MSU 10.
Auburn-LSU: As James Brown said, "I got the feeling." The feeling an upset is on the way. Auburn 24, LSU 17.
GamecockAnthem.com (47-8)
Ole Miss 34 - Arkansas 30: The Razorbacks are coming off a gut-wrenching loss at Florida, and the Rebels are looking to find their stride in the second half of the season. This one will be entertaining, but the Rebs will make enough plays to protect their home turf.
Alabama 20 - Tennessee 13: The Vols’ defense will keep things interesting, but ‘Bama has owned the fourth quarter against opponents this year. This game will feature more of the same.
Kentucky 41 - La. Monroe 17: Fresh off the big road win over Auburn, the ’Cats return home to handle business against the Warhawks.
South Carolina 31 - Vanderbilt 13: The Gamecocks haven’t forgotten the past two years, and they won’t overlook the ‘Dores this time around.
Florida 38 - Miss. State 17: This matchup between Dan Mullen and his old team might be interesting for a half, but the Gators are simply too much for MSU to handle.
LSU 24 - Auburn 23: This division rivalry always seems to be a nail biter, and this year won’t be any different. The Bayou Bengals will make a play late to protect their home turf and keep their SEC-West hopes alive.
InsideTennessee.com (43-12)
Arkansas 27, Ole Miss 23: The Rebels rout non-conference creampuffs, then stumble against SEC foes.
Alabama 17, Tennessee 10: The Vols had an extra week to prepare for Bama's awesome defense. They could've used three more weeks.
Kentucky 31, Louisiana-Monroe 14: The Big Blue should be pumped up after shocking Auburn last weekend.
South Carolina 24, Vanderbilt 10: The Commodores' potent pass defense will test the Gamecocks, but Vandy's impotent offense won't.
Florida 27, Mississippi State 14: Urban Meyer has speed to burn, protege Dan Mullen doesn't.
Auburn 20, LSU 17: Auburn must've been looking ahead to this game when it lost to Kentucky.
VandyMania.com (42-12)
Ole Miss 28, Arkansas 21- Arkansas is on the road and due a letdown after their valiant effort in Gainesville against the Gators and refs.
Alabama 28, Tennessee 17- Crimson Tide might be the nation's best football team.
Kentucky 24, Louisiana-Monroe 14- Cats got a huge win at Auburn last week. They'd better be ready for the Warhawks.
South Carolina 24, Vanderbilt 10- Vandy has won two straight over Gamecocks but USC should prevail over offenseless Commodores.
Florida 41, Mississippi State 13- MSU has a winner in Mullen, but he'll need a couple of years to challenge the Gators.
LSU 24, Auburn 21- Tigers win, Tigers lose. Auburn was probably thinking about this game before the Kentucky game, a big no-no in the SEC.
