Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos defensive end Tony Washington has 15 offers, and has taken three official visits.

Washington has taken his visits to UTEP, Oregon and Arizona, the latter coming this past weekend, where Washington saw the Wildcats take on UCLA.

"The trip was good," said Washington. "It was my first time in Tucson. My host was David Roberts. He went to Rancho when I was still there and we knew each other pretty well."

Washington said he enjoyed watching the Arizona defense.

"What stood out to me most was how hard their defense plays," said Washington.

He also liked Tucson.

"It was nice there," said Washington. "It didn't seem like a confusing place at all. I like the campus a lot. I don't think there would be a problem of trying to get from class to class. The students were really friendly."

Washington still has one more visit set, which he'll take this weekend. "I had Oregon State planned for November 15th, but I'm going this upcoming weekend instead," said Washington. "I'm leaving the fifth one open. It's a possibility it could be for a new school that offers."

UCLA has been keeping in regular contact with Washington.

"I talk with UCLA just about every week," said Washington. "Their D-Line coach, Coach (Todd) Howard, went to our game against Upland. They haven't given me hints of an offer yet, though. I've been to a couple of games. The last one I went to was the Oregon game."

The Grizzlies are 3-4, but pulled off a stunner in their last game, topping previously unbeaten Rancho Cucamonga, 31-28, in a game where Washington had eight tackles and two sacks.

On the season, Washington has 53 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
