Alfy Hill talks official visit
"The visit to Alabama was great," said Alfy Hill. "I loved every minute of it. It was such a great visit. The atmosphere and crowd at the game was crazy. The fans were loving me. It was a great experience. I can't wait to get up there. "The game was great. The atmosphere at the game was just unbelievable. I wish I would have been out there playing with those guys. It was a great defensive game. When Terrence Cody blocked the field goal at the end it was just crazy. I liked it a lot." Hill went more in-depth about his official visit to the Capstone. "I got to Alabama around 4:00 p.m. on Friday," he said. "I went and watched the team walk-thru I then went out to eat with the players that night. Afterwards we just hung out for a while then went to bed. "The next morning we got up and had breakfast. I toured the school and saw all of the academic part. I took visit over to the Business School. That is what I plan on majoring in. I really enjoyed seeing the academic part. It was real nice. It shows they really care about you as a student. They want to give you everything you need to succeed. "After I toured the academic buildings we went to the game. The game was amazing. The crowd was incredible. They kept me pumped the whole game. It was so loud in that stadium. It was such a great game, and it came down to the end. The stadium went crazy when the field goal was blocked. "After the game I went out to eat. I hung out with the players that night. My host for the weekend was Josh Chapman. It was fun to hang out with him. I had hung out with him during the summer. We already knew each other. We were just catching up. I hung out with Phillip Sims a lot as well. We can really relate. I think we are going to end up as best friends. "On Sunday we went over to coach Saban's house. It was fun to go over there. We had a good time and ate some good food. He has a real nice house. Overall it was just a great trip. I would say the best part was going through the academic part, going to the game and seeing the atmosphere and chilling with the players." The UA commitment talked about spending time with the coaching staff as well. "Coach Saban was basically telling me to finish the season strong," Hill said. "He talked to me about playing the 'Jack' linebacker position. I am excited about it. It's pretty much what I play now. It was a big reason for my decision. I can go in and do the same thing at a higher level. "I spent time with coach Sal [Sunseri] during the trip. Coach Sal and I are real close. He was the one who offered me, and he'll be my position coach. I call him almost every night. We didn't watch film this time, but we did the last time I was there. We pretty much just hung out with each other this trip." Hill will graduate from high school in June of 2010.
