Dixon Receives First Offer
Hassan Dixon is one of the fastest players in the state. He is a versatile athlete that lines up as running back, receiver, defensive back and kick/punt returner. He can make a big play from anywhere on the field. He has been impressive so far this year and he has been hearing more from college coaches. He is a very good student and that is evident by the schools that have contacted him. "I received an off from Princeton," said Dixon. "It's such a great academic school. It feels good to have that first offer. The schools recruiting me the hardest are all strong academically. I hear from Connecticut, Temple, Rutgers and the Ivy League schools. I will definitely want to visit Princeton, Yale, Temple and Connecticut. I will decide on my other visits after that." Dixon talked about what he is looking for in a school. "I would like a school that isn't too small. The facilities are a factor. The academic prestige as far as what the degree can do for my future. I want to be able to go for a job interview and the person to say wow I see you went to this school. I want the degree to mean something." On the season Dixon has rushed 164 times for 806 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also has another 104 yards receiving and 5 two-point conversions. Dixon reports a 3.8 GPA and is taking the SAT and ACT this fall.
