Scout's Take: Buffalo RB commit
What to Like: James Potts has been a load for American Heritage over the last two seasons. He ran for over 1,000 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior so he was very productive and carried the ball about 18 times a game. He can go between the tackles and can make things happen on the corner. He's a playmaker for them and is clearly talented enough to be a Div 1 running back. What May Conern You: He's battled some injuries this season and has under 500 yards and just three scores after the big junior year last season. He's only running it about nine times a game. He doesn't have ideal size to go between the tackles and he lacks elite speed to break a lot of big runs. He's also limited as a pass-catcher as he has only a few catches in the last couple seasons, making him a bit one-dimensional at times. Bottom Line: Buffalo beat out some other non-BCS Div 1 programs for his commitment. They're getting a two-star player, one of the top running back prospects in Palm Beach County.
