Nunley Talks Official and New Offer
Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway cornerback Dayonne Nunley was hoping that once his senior film started making its way around the scholarships would come. Miami (Ohio) started the ball rolling and then came Central Michigan and now Kent State. "Kent State offered me late last week," Nunley said. "Their defensive backs coach came by the school and they offered me. One of my former teammates (Leon Green) goes there and he loves it. They want me to come up and visit, so I'm going to schedule an official there." Nunley and teammate Orne Bey took unofficial visits to Miami (Ohio) last weekend where they met up with another former Gator. "The visit to Miami (Ohio) went real well," Nunley said. "The campus was beautiful and the coaches were real cool there. I was really impressed with the academics and getting to spend some time with Jordan Stevens who played at Gateway." The (10-0) Gators play Penn Hills this weekend in the second round of the WPIAL Class playoffs this Friday. "We're excited to play our rivals again," Nunley said. "We'll be ready, this should be an exciting game."
