Commitment Tracker: Sharrod Golightly
"I'm not really thinking about an official visit to Ole Miss anymore," Sharrod Golightly stated. "They really haven't contacted me much lately. They've sent me letters, but I haven't really talked to them much." "Right now my commitment to Vanderbilt is still good. As of now I'm not considering any other schools. There's no officials on my mind right now. The only official that I'm thinking about is my official Vanderbilt. I'll be taking my official to Vandy sometime in December." Golighlty has been in close contact with another SEC East program, but he remains solid to Vanderbilt. "South Carolina (offer) has been talking to me a lot lately," he commented. "I've been talking to South Carolina almost as much as I have Vanderbilt. It's nothing too serious, though. I'm still committed to Vandy." The strong safety displayed his tackling ability in a shutout victory (26-0) over a talented Tucker High School team. "I did real well in that game," he said. "I had nine tackles. They couldn't get any passes off because of our pass rush, so I didn't have a chance to break up any passes." The East-Metro Atlanta standout has put together a great senior season through nine games. "Right now I have 78 tackles, two pass defenses, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown. My touchdown came on a fumble recovery," he said. As of now, Sharrod Golightly has no plans of taking an official visit to South Carolina.
