Florida WR set to visit UGA

A long list of schools targeted this talented receiver in the spring, but only a handful remain in contention. He is set to visit Georgia this weekend and you can get the latest here.

"I would have to say Michigan, Florida, and Florida State are recruiting me the hardest right now," said Kenny Shaw. "You can probably throw Georgia in there too, but those first three are really recruiting me."

Over 20 schools offered the 5-foot-11, 165 pound wide receiver and now he is down to five.

"I am still looking at the four I mentioned and Tennessee. There a few more I am still thinking a little about, but it is mainly those five. I will likely take my five visits to those five schools."

Georgia is scheduled to received the first of five alloted official visits from Shaw this weekend.

He has not seen Athens before, so he is looking forward to the visit.

"I am leaving Saturday morning to go up to Georgia and I want to see what it is like up there," said the Orlando (FL) native.

"I have talked to the coaches before and I have seen them on T.V., so I want to see if it is like I think it is up there. I think I will have a good time."

It seems like he will have to have better than a good time in Athens if Georgia wants to move up on his list and to truly compete for his signature come February.

All the schools on Shaw's list are still chasing the Seminoles. He thought about committed to FSU back in the spring, but held off to take visits.

The Noles still lead big.

"I have a great relationship with Florida State all the way around and I still like them a lot. They are number one on my list and I can still see myself playing for them."

"I know they will be getting an official visit from me, but I am not sure when yet. I will be at the Florida-Florida State game, I know that."

The four-star receiver out of Dr. Phillips trying not to focus on recruiting too much until after the season. He has helped his team to a 9-0 and record by scoring eight touchdowns this year so he is focused on a state championship first of all.

"I talk to coaches when I can, but I want to get the win Friday night and go 10-0 first," he said. "We are playing as a team more this year and I am trying to worry about my team first."

"I don't have anymore visits set up yet really, but I am pretty sure I will be at the Michigan-Ohio State game for my official visit to Michigan. I hope to have that set up soon."
