Men's Hoops
**The Rebels are expected to ink two players in the early signing period. They
are Mississippi Dandy Dozen selections PG Dundrecous Nelson
and C Demarco Cox.
Ole Miss graduates C DeAundre Cranston and held one scholarship
over from last year to give them room to ink two players this fall.
This marked the first time since Aaron Harper and Justin Reed committed to Ole Miss in 1999 that the Rebels landed more than one
Dandy Dozen member.
**When asked who would win Mr. Basketball by the Dandy Dozen members,
Dundrecous Nelson (5’ 11”, 185) had the second most
votes behind Andre Stringer (LSU commit), who
won it last year.
Nelson is a “high riser” who loves to shoot it from outside the
arc, but he has developed a nice midrange game in the past year. He averaged
17.2 points, 3.4 assists, and 3 steals a game last year after being seriously
injured in a car accident.
Scout.com's #38 nationally rated point guard is back to 100% now and is one
of the leading candidates for Mr. Basketball this season.
Wouldn’t it be something if the Rebels landed the Mississippi Basketball
Player of the Year in both the Men's and Women's side this season!
**We all know about Yazoo City’s (center) Demarco Cox.
The 6’ 8”, 280 pounder is probably the most talented two sports
athlete in the state of Mississippi, as he is also a stud offensive tackle for
Yazoo City’s team. Demarco really solidified himself as an elite hoop’s
player when he was named the Defensive MVP at the MS North/South All-Star game
this past summer.
Scout.com's #25 nationally rated center does not have huge “hops”
but he eats up space with is massive body and nimble footwork for a big guy.
He will be a true “banger” for the Rebels squad, which they sorely
need, in our honest opinion.
Demarco does not plan to play football at Ole Miss and will concentrate on
basketball instead. He averaged 15 points and 8 rebounds as a junior.

**On the women’s side, Ole Miss is expected to sign two Dandy Dozen players
today, and there are four more expected to sign in addition to these two. The
two Dandy Dozen players that are expected to sign are PG Valencia McFarland
(5’ 5”) and PF Kenyotta Jenkins (6’
0”,)
*Valencia McFarland is actually the reigning Miss Basketball
for the state of Mississippi and many compare her to the former Ole Miss point
guard, Armentie Price. She averaged 19.3 points, 5 assists, and
a state high 5.2 steals a game last year. She is ranked as the #38 player in the
country by ESPN Hoopgurlz. Valencia is what you call a “franchise
player”.
**Kenyotta Jenkins is a 6’ 0” forward out of
Potts Camp and she averaged 20.1 points, 10 rebounds, 2.2 steals, and 1.5 steals
a game last year.
We will release the other four expected signees as their scholarship papers
come in.
Men's Baseball
Some are saying this could be Ole Miss' best class they have brought in yet
during the Bianco Era which is some pretty high cotton considering he has brought
in eight different Top 15 nationally rated classes during his tenure.
The Rebels have 13 commitments they are expected to sign in the early signing
period and they could ink an additional two to three players later on in the
signing period.

Special Note
Chase Reeves and Hawtin Buchanan, who are committed, are juniors.
That is why they are not on the commitment list.
Also remember that baseball does not release all of their signees in one day
like basketball and football, so it might take a while before the university
releases their names.
