Corona (Calif.) running back Jordon James is headed to the Pac-10, committing to on Thursday evening.
"I'm going to UCLA next fall," said James, "I committed to UCLA today."
James' commitment, coupled with five-star running back Malcolm Jones, gives the Bruins a stellar 1-2 punch at running back, and James is thrilled with the opportunity to play with Jones.
"I've been excited since he committed to UCLA," said James.
James had visited UCLA unofficially a handful of times, and the proximity to home and comfort level contributed to his decision to pick the Bruins.
"I just felt more at home there," said James.
James said head coach Rick Neuheisel was thrilled to get his commitment.
"Yeah, he was very excited," said James.
But not more than James, who was happy to get the process over with.
"I'm very, very excited and relieved to get this over with," said James.
The four-star back had visited Cal, Arizona, Notre Dame and Washington.
James was scheduled to visit UCLA next weekend. However, he'll push that visit back to January, when the rest of UCLA's commits take their official visits.
He has has been selected to play in the UnderArmour All-American Game.
