So Who is Going Where this Weekend?
Auburn commitment Shun Coleman will be pulling double duty this weekend as he takes in Ole Miss' game with Tennessee and Mississippi State's big game with Alabama. Coleman's teammate Damien Robinson is confirmed for Starkville as well. Mississippi State 2011 commitment C.J. Johnson of Philadelphia will make the drive over to Starkville, but his fellow prospective signing classmate Nick Redmond of Harrison Central will not be able to make the trip this weekend. Another gulf coast junior staying home this weekend is Pascagoula's Senquez Golson. The talented two sport star will take part in a baseball showcase next weekend before returning to Mississippi State the next week to watch the Bulldogs take on the Ole Miss Rebels in the annual battle for the Golden Egg. Pelhatchie junior Darryan Ragsdale planned to take in some football action this week, but his high school basketball game will prevent that from happening. A pair of Mississippi Delta standouts from Greenwood, senior Jeremy Collins and junior Jermaine Whitehead, will also be putting in time on the hardwood this weekend instead of taking unofficial visits. Junior defensive tackle Josh Woodard of Eupora hopes to take in the Alabama/MSU match-up this weekend, but so far he has been unable to secure the very in demand prospect tickets. Woodard's highway 82 neighbor Chelarvez Brown reports that his name is on the list and he will be in the stands when the Tide rolls into Davis Wade stadium. Dandy Dozen selections Matthew Wells, Carlos Thompson, Michael Carr, Kaleb Eulls, Carlton Martin and Vincent Sanders all plan to be in Starkville for the 6 PM ESPN broadcast, while Perry Central's Dandy Nick Griffin plans to stay home this weekend and watch football on TV. Jay Hughes and Robert Johnson of Oak Grove have not finalized their plans for the weekend. Fellow Pinebelt standout Marcquis Hosey will make the drive to Bulldog land with a few teammates in tow. The pride of Pisgah, Donatello Luckett, confirms his plans to make a return trip to Mississippi State. Other Jackson area products Jeremy Lee, Jamario Funchess and Darrius Newton will be making the drive up highway 25 to see the Tide and Bulldogs square off. Co-Lin All-Star DeQuan Minzie will trek to Oxford with teammate Josh Tillman to see Ole Miss host Tennessee. Southern Miss' newest commitment Justin Penn will be staying home this weekend, but he hopes to take in the Golden Eagles' next home game. Brandon Keel hopes to get to Monroe, Louisiana soon to check out the latest school to offer him, ULM. He has no plans to travel this weekend, but is considering taking in the Ole Miss game with LSU next week. Jamerson Love and Erik Buchanan of Aberdeen will be back at Mississippi State this weekend. The two have become regulars along with sophomore sensation Channing Ward. Mississippi State commitment Kelvin Bolden and his roommate James Carmon will take an unofficial visit to MSU this weekend before returning in two weeks for their official with teammate Vick Ballard who is also committed to the Bulldogs. Brandon Hill and Curtis Virges, who are also committed to Mississippi State, will be on hand for this weekend's events in Starkville.
