The Maryland Crab Bowl announced their final rosters this week and there are quite a few FBS level players that will be banging helmets together in December. The game has clearly become one of the top all-star games in the country and in-state players have flocked to play in it. Below are a list of names to watch for in the game, so if you live close enough to Towson to make the trip, Scout.com can tell you it’s a first class event throughout.
Maryland has six players in the game in Titus Till, Jeremiah Johnson, Nate Clarke, Rahsaan Moore, Tyrek Cheesboro and Matt Robinson, making them to school with the most recruits represented for the second straight year. Last year, Penn State nearly equaled the Terps in representation, however this year they aren’t as strong in numbers. In terms of quality though, they have two highly ranked prospects in the game in four-star wide receiver Adrian Coxson and the No. 1 rated fullback in the entire country in Zach Zwinak who will be playing on the same team.
Wisconsin has two players in the game in offensive tackle Robby Havenstein and Frank Tamakloe. Other players in the game that are committed already are E.J. Scott (Virginia), Rudy Johnson (Buffalo), Brian Burns (Temple), Troy Gloster (West Virginia), Jeff Knox (Pittsburgh), Marcus Coker (Iowa), Kevin Johnson (Wake Forest), Billy Cosh (Kansas State), Josh Bordner (Boston College), Nick Forbes (California), Kyle Fuller (Virginia Tech), Jeremy Grove (ECU) and Hussam Ouri (Navy).
Louis Young has been committed to Stanford twice already and will be announcing his final decision at the game and is also looking at Virginia Tech, Virginia, Boston College and Maryland. Another player that is scheduled to make his decision at the Crab Bowl is athlete Josh Furman, who seems to be focused specifically on Michigan and Virginia Tech right now. Bisi Ezekoye will definitely be committing at the game as well and has several offers and the new news is that Ego Ferguson may also be making his commitment from the game as well and is considering Notre Dame, Oklahoma, LSU, California, Florida State, Maryland, Miami, North Carolina, South Carolina and UCLA as his final ten. Crab Bowl Founder Chuck Harmon spoke about the players committing at the event.
“We’re very excited to have these kids commit at the Crab Bowl and because we feel they deserve national attention we’re going to give them a huge presentation during their commitment just like they would get at the All-American or Under-Armour Game,” Chuck Harmon said. “We think these kids and their families deserve the type of blue-chip recognition that they deserve and plan to make it an outstanding experience for everyone involved.”
Other players in the game of Division I-A interest are Aramide Olaniyan who seems to be favoring UCLA right now, Jerry Lovelocke, Travis Thomas, Axel Ofori, Michael Coley, Lorenzo Waters, Arie Kouandjio, Devonta Tabannah, Josh Aleaze, Forrest Mason and Hansen Barrick.
