Eureka (Calif.) athlete Soma Vainuku will head to the Islands next month for an All-Star Game...

Eureka (Calif.) athlete Soma Vainuku, one of the best two-way players in the West in the class of 2010, has now got postseason plans.

Vainuku was selected to represent the Hawaii/Polynesia team in the Aloha Prep Bowl on December 12th in Hawaii.

The three-star linebacker, ranked 31st in the middle by Scout.com, has done most of his damage on offense this year, rushing for 1,252 yards and 22 touchdowns this season.

In the regular season finale, Vainuku had 23 carries for 312 yards and four touchdowns.

Eureka, 8-2, will host Pinole Valley in the first round of the CIF-NCS D-II playoffs.
